Koge Municipality
Koge Municipality has, with the establishment of The Green House in 1997 as part of its Local Agenda 21 policy, participated in building an independent advisory and development unit in close dialogue with business and citizens. The municipality and The Green House have managed to establish a comprehensive demonstration and development project concerning the shaping of environment-oriented building codes for standard houses and terraced houses. This has resulted in a new residential area at Herfolge built after several parameters on energy and environment in parallel with the design of the first standards for Swan-labeled homes. Additionally, the municipality is home for the newly established environmentally and energy integrated housing communities Kyoto and Ravnsborg.
